Social Innovation Requires Collective Impact

In order to change large-scale health and social problems, a backbone of insight, broad cross-sector coordination, teamwork, and the drive to collaborate is needed.

The heroic efforts of countless researchers, administrators, and nonprofits, together with trillions of dollars in charitable contributions, may have led to important improvements in individual clinical settings and lives, yet system-wide progress has seemed virtually unobtainable against global health initiatives.

Unlike most collaborations, collective impact initiatives involve a centralized infrastructure, a dedicated staff, and a structured process that leads to a common agenda, shared measurement, continuous communication, and mutually reinforcing activities among all participants.

We will empower the social sector that remains focused on the isolated intervention of individual organizations and embrace emergence.

The Ionic Alliance Foundation has several volunteer opportunities during our normal business hours for those 18 years and older. We utilize volunteers online, directly, within different departments, and in our collective impact center. If you are interested in any of these positions, please contact us.
